With the earlier version of windows (like win 7, xp etc), it was very easy to access control panel right from the start menu. But windows 8 has some feature which are different from earlier version.

This make it complex for new user, In windows 8 Microsoft has removed the Start Menu or Start Button. The start menu make it easy for people to find their stuffs like documents, folders, files and every stuff from the search option.

Let us come to the topic ” how to open control panel in windows 8″

There are 4 ways to access or open control panel in Windows 8

1st Method:

First open the Windows explorer and navigate to file option as shown in figure below.

Now Just click on the “Open Control Panel” Option on the ribbon as shown in fig.

2nd Method :

Microsoft has introduced a Charm Bar in windows 8, which can be accessible from the top and bottom right corner, you just have to move your mouse pointer to the top or bottom right corner, a charm bar will appear as shown in figure.

Now click on the Search (you can also open the search directly from the shortcut key Window Key + Q)

A search panel will get open, simply type and search Control panel and select the result from the left.

3rd Method:

Again move your pointer to the right corner for charm bar, this time click on the Settings option

A setting panel will pop out, chose the control panel from it.

4th method:

Just move your pointer to bottom left corner, right click on the start button, a context menu will appear, open the control panel from the menu option.
