Sometimes you want protection against some website ( like some malicious web or some adult content site). Or if you are parent, and want to protect your child from the abusive 18+ content. Or you owned a office or institute and you did not want your employe or student to access social network like Facebook at their work time. Then you must thinking of blocking some website. You can easily block a website using some simple steps.

How To Block a Website ?

Step 1: First open C:WindowsSystem32driversetc from your window explorer, If Windows is not installed on C:, substitute the appropriate drive letter.

Step 2: Now Open hosts file using Notepad.

Now start typing in the end after # ::1 localhost in new line.

Step 3: Type 127.0.0.1, then a space once, and then type the address of a website you want to block. For example, to block Facebook.com, type127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com on this line.

Step 4: If you have more website to block, then keep entering in the same format. Check the below Figure.

Step 5: Now save your File and if it ask for Administrator Privilege . using any Web Browser

Step 6: Now test it any Web Browser.
